  • No, YAL wants to hear from the young person themselves. This isn’t an English assignment. We want to get to know you and hear your story from your own words, it’s not a test, be yourself and let us get to know what you are passionate about receiving a scholarship will impact/improve your life.

  • A selection panel will review all applicants according to the criteria set out in the Application Form. The selection panel consists of representatives from various education sectors. After considering all applications, the selection panel will make recommendations to the Board of Directors.

  • Notification of the outcome of your application is expected by December 2025.
